The Decorative Frame & Border Repository – Volume II is a comprehensive archive of ornamental vectors sourced from trade catalogs of the early 20th century. This collection includes more than 600 unique elements, 678 to be precise. Each specimen has been selected for its aesthetic quality, then carefully restored and converted to vector format.
You can use these vectors as is, and you can also combine several of them together to create custom and more complex frames. Because every element is fully editable, you gain complete control over scale, color, and composition.
Why This Ornamental Vector Collection Stands Out
Designers constantly hunt for authentic period details. This repository delivers them in abundance. Each frame and border carries the craftsmanship of early 20th century catalog artwork, restored to crisp, clean vectors. As a result, your projects gain historical richness without any loss of quality.
Moreover, the collection covers a wide range of ornamental styles. You can build delicate Victorian borders, bold Art Nouveau frames, and ornate label designs. Consequently, this pack serves packaging designers, branding specialists, editorial artists, and illustrators equally well.
Technical Specifications and File Formats
This collection is designed for compatibility with most graphic software. All elements are organized, labeled, and provided in the following formats:
- AI (Adobe Illustrator): Native vector files for full editing power
- SVG: Universal standard for vector software such as Inkscape and Affinity
- PSD: Provided as Vector Shape Layers, allowing infinite scaling and color adjustment directly within Photoshop without rasterization
- PNG: High resolution individual raster images with transparent backgrounds for quick mockups or non-vector software
The elements in the AI, SVG, and PSD versions are arranged on master sheets, as shown in the preview slides. This layout helps you browse the full collection quickly and drag elements into your work without delay.
Bonus: Photoshop Grunge Template
This pack includes a dedicated PSD template built on Smart Objects. It allows you to instantly apply a stamped ink texture, edge roughness, and paper grain to your compositions created using this vector pack. The template proves useful when you want to get rid of the crisp look of clean vectors and add an aged, tactile feel.
The template was used for the preview images, so you can see exactly how much character it adds. In addition, it works with any composition you build from the collection, giving every design a convincing antique finish.
